Community Health NursingBlood Donation Camp & NCD ClinicThe IV year B.Sc nursing students from Bishop Benziger College of Nursing along with Bishop Benziger Hospital, Kollam organized and conducted a blood donation and blood grouping campaign and NCD clinic at St.John’s U.P School,Thirumullavaram from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm on 23.02.2020 . Total 11 people donated blood from Thirumullavaram area and 50 people checked their blood sugar , blood pressure and BMI in NCD clinic .

The programme was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. John Paul (Asso Director, Bishop Benziger Hospital) .About 200 people utilized the health camp. The programme ended at 12.30 pm.

Director, QSSS. The main health topics discussed and demonstrated in the practical session are vital signs (Temperature,Pulse ,Respiration and Blood pressure) and calculation of BMI. Mrs. Sheeja. S, HOD, Community Health Nursing Department and Mrs. Jyothilakshmi.J, Nursing Tutor were taken class in the practical session. Total 63 number of participants attended and re- demonstrated the procedure in QSSS Hall. Identified the effectiveness of this programme through feedback system.
