Nursing Foundations

Introduction

The Nursing Foundation Department serves as the cornerstone of nursing education, laying the groundwork for students to develop into competent and compassionate nursing professionals. This department focuses on building essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for empathetical. clinical practice, including basic nursing procedures, communication techniques, and understanding of human anatomy and physiology, sociology, psychology, nutrition, biochemistry, basic computer knowledge and communicative English.

Our dedicated faculty members guide students through interactive teaching methods, simulation-based learning, and supervised clinical experiences to ensure a strong foundation in nursing ethics, patient care, and professional responsibilities. By fostering critical thinking and a caring attitude, the department aims to prepare students for their academic journey and future roles in diverse healthcare settings.

Objectives

  2. To introduce students to the philosophy, principles, and scope of nursing as a discipline and profession.

Department has MCH lab with Neonatal Resuscitation Mannequin, Baby dummies, newborn assessment equipment’s and other requirements to teach specific Paediatric procedures to students.

Our Medical Surgical Department is one of the major pillar in the context of Nursing Education. It includes Medical Nursing, Surgical Nursing, Medical and Surgical Nursing I and II and Adult Health Nursing I & II. In our department there are of 1 Professor, 2 Associate professors, 1 Assistant professor, 1 Lecturers and 1 clinical Instructors.
