The Community health nursing department and II year and IV year B.Sc. Nursing students of BBCON conducted a theme based programme on 31.05.2016 at Pallithottam health centre regarding use of tobacco and its health effects .Around 20 community people attended the programme. The programme started at 10.30 am. with prayer song .Presidential address was given by Ms.Athira Anil, IV year B.Sc. Nursing ,inauguration by Mr.Anand, Vice principal, Bishop Benziger college of nursing ,Theme releasing was done by Dr.Asha Jayakumaran, Medical officer, Pallithottam Health Centre, Felicitation was given by Mrs. Sheeja.S, HOD, Community Health Nursing Department
Topic was dealt under following heads:Introduction and definition, Incidence and types,Health effects and Preventive tips. Feedback was obtained from two beneficiaries to be good and they expressed that the listeners should share the information to other family members . The programme ended up by 11.30 am.
